Cast Resin Transformers

Thanks to their design, SGB cast resin transformers possess a range of features that makes them a favourably priced, reliable and safe solution.

The Advantages of Cast Resin Transformers

  • Fire Behaviour (self-extinguishing, no toxic gases)
  • Environmentally friendly technology
  • High short-time overload capability
  • Low maintenance requirements
  • Practically no restrictions concerning place of installation
  • Lower Height/Smaller ground area
  • Lower Load Losses

Our Range covers capacities of up to 24MVA and service voltages of up to 36kV, and includes Copper and Aluminium HV/LV windings, K-Factor rated transformers, dual primary transformers and other special requirements.

Distribution Transformers

Situated in the town of Neumark SBG Distribution Transformers has a purpose built factory which was inaugurated in 1993 and uses the latest technology in the manufacturing of distribution transformers including automated robot tank manufacturing and paint application.

The SBG Distribution transformer features corrugated tanks and is an hermetically sealed unit. Over 10000 distribution transformers per year are manufactured by SBG in Neumark  and therefore the references are extensive and include UK references.

Power System Partners has access to stocked distribution transformers and is often able to meet very short deliveries for standard sizes of distribution transformers which include 630kVA, 800kVA, 1000kVA, 1250kVA, 1600kVA and 2000kVA units.

Inductance

BCV Inductance Reactor

Take advantage of the 75 years’ experience of BCV technology with inductances up to 20 kA – 24 kV AC or DC. These products have various name such as inductance, reactor, reactance, choke or self-inductance.

BC Indugo range of dry-type inductances are used to limit fault, inrush or motor starting currents. They may be associated with capacitors to filter the harmonic currents generated by the load & to compensate capacitive currents. They are also used to smooth direct current after rectification.

Used in infrastructure application (Public and commercial buildings) and industries (Marine, Oil & Gas, textiles, automotive…)
